Three high grade pyrophyllite deposits are known on the mineral licences, these are at the southern boarder of one of the worlds largest 5 pyrophyllite producers with the same geology in the same high alumina alteration belt, also containing Steep Nap Low Sulfidization Gold prospect.
In the 1980s, gold and silver had initially been explored for, given that gold in other areas such as North Carolina is often associated with pyrophyllite.
In the 1990's and early 2000's the Road Cut prospect was channel sampled with 10 m grading 3.5 g/t Gold including 1 m at 16 g/t gold. Gold and silver mineralization with grab samples up to 31 g/t gold and over 600 g/t silver were discovered 125 m north of the Road cut prospect. Anomalous gold and silver are also noted to the south of the Trans Canada Highway, along the alteration zone.
High alumina alteration associated with pyrophyllite prospects frequently have zones of lithophysae, which is another name for Thunder Eggs.
These have been noted to occur in the alteration belt often reaching over 0.5 m across.
